#creativeHE meetup 2023/24: Creative escape rooms using MS Office & Creative Superpowers, 14 Feb 24

We are delighted to invite you to a #creativeHE meetup with Jennifer Park and Beatriz Acevedo.

Jennifer’s session explores the creative way to design an online escape room as a classroom activity, using MS Office, to increase students’ engagement in HE. Participants learn how to use MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Forms to design interactive activities for students with step-by-step guidelines. Practical examples and tips are shared to support educators who design the escape room activity first time.

Beatriz’s session will walk us through activating your creative super powers in three easy steps. This is a workshop for people who need a bit of encouragement to connect with their creative powers. It taps on imperfection, playfulness, and contemplation, through really very easy mark making exercises.

Jennifer Park – I am an Associate Professor of Educational Practice at BPP Business School and a Senior Fellow in HEA. I have been teaching and designing different modules in Undergraduate and Postgraduate and have led different programmes as a Head Of Programme/Awards leader last 12 years. I am currently doing a part-time PhD in Higher Education at the University of Surrey to research pedagogical framework for international students in UK HE. In addition, inclusive curriculum, inclusive pedagogy, and decolonising the curriculum are my other research interest. I am a believer in fun learning and that’s why I have been applying different fun activities to engage students in the classroom. And students loved them!
